Longest Day fundraiser at The Lodge
The Alzheimer’s Association will host its Longest Day fundraiser today at The Lodge, 2200 E. Long St., in Carson City.
The event will feature live music by Colin Ross, a bake sale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first floor in the Wellness Room and a barbecue from noon to 1 p.m. on the front patio.
A $10 donation is suggested. All proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.

Juvenile Services sexual exploitation event July 11
Carson City Juvenile Services will host an awareness and education event for sexual abuse, exploitation, and human trafficking of children on Tuesday, July 11 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Ormsby Room at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office.
The event will consist of panelists from the Sheriff’s Office: Investigations Bureau, Sexual Assault Response Advocates, Xquisite, and the Human Exploitation and Trafficking team from the Reno Police Department.

Introductory fly-fishing class July 21-22
The Carson Fly Fishing Club will conduct an introductory fly-fishing class on Friday, July 21 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, July 22 all day starting at 10:30 a.m.

Advocates to End Domestic Violence has open support groups for domestic violence survivors as well as an opportunity for individual counseling for survivors of domestic or sexual violence.
