Reckless Envy will rock McFadden Plaza during the Capital City Brewfest. The event takes place Saturday, June 24, from 3-8 p.m. in Downtown Carson City. Hosted by the Rotary Club of Carson City, the Brewfest is the club’s major fundraiser.
The Reno based band members are looking forward to performing in the Capital City. “We love to perform, especially outdoor events like the Capital City Brewfest,” says Reckless Envy band member Billy Lassi. “Carson City has always treated us great; we’ve made a lot of great friends there over the years.”
Lassi says attendees can expect a variety of music.
“We like to say that if you have a wide variety of taste, or no taste at all, you’re in the right place at the right time. We cover everything from Johnny Cash and Chris Stapleton to Bruno Mars, Prince and AC/DC.”
This year’s Capital City Brewfest will feature representatives from more than 30 breweries. Plus, several food trucks will be on site offering a variety of options. Money raised at the annual event helps fund the Rotary Club of Carson City’s community projects and youth programs.
Lassi says the band believes that we are all social creatures and that events like these are important to our communities. “We need to be around others, we need interaction, we need to have fun. We hope attendees escape life’s worries for a few hours, smile, tap your feet & hopefully dance.”
Tickets for the Capital City Brewfest are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. For more information and to purchase tickets go to www.capitalcitybrewfest.com.
