Artesia Road and Mason Pass Road between Yerington and Smith Valley are closed indefinitely due to significant mud and water runoff, according to a Lyon County news release Friday morning.
All other county roads between Yerington and Smith Valley remain closed. Please seek alternate routes and plan for delays.

Lyon County is urging Smith Valley residents to stay home and limit travel in and out of the valley due to major road closures. Plan for prolonged travel delays and the potential to be unable to return for extended periods of time and overnight. Updated Sandbag Location
Lyon County has moved the self-fill sandbag location in Smith Valley from Smith Valley Schools to NV-208, Smith, NV 89430 (near the Post Office).
