A Yerington man was arrested Tuesday on charges stemming from a murder last August, according to a Lyon County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Donald Lavern Webb, 61, was arrested at his residence and booked into the Lyon County Jail on one count of open murder in the death of Joshua Davis, the release said. He is being held without bail.
On Aug. 8, LCSO responded to a residence in Yerington for a reported shooting. Davis, 29, had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene, the release said. LCSO, with assistance from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, investigated the death.
After the nine-month investigation, LCSO presented the case to Lyon County District Attorney Steve Rye, who filed a criminal complaint against Webb.
Members of the LCSO Investigations Division arrested Webb on Tuesday.
