NOTICE OF INTENT TO IMPOUND
This notice is to inform owners of unauthorized
livestock of my intent to impound said animals
on lands administered by the Bureau of Land
Management in and around the Clan Alpine
Mountains Herd Management Areas (HMAs).
Specifically, the legal description of this area
includes the following townships and ranges:
Townships 16 through 20 North, Ranges 34
through 36 East
This HMA is located approximately 60 miles
east of Fallon NV, and south of U.S. 50. A
map of the area may be obtained at the
Stillwater Field Office, 5665 Morgan Mill Rd.
Carson City, NV.
Unauthorized livestock may be impounded
any time after five (5) days from publication
and posting of this notice and may be
impounded without further notice within a
12-month period.
Since the impoundment area is located within
an area occupied by wild free-roaming horses
as defined in 43 CFR 4700.05, persons who
believe they own unbranded horses or burros
within the area should file a claim of ownership
with the Stillwater Field Manager. No horses
may be removed from lands within the impoundment
area without written authorization
from the Stillwater Field Manager.
This notice is issued in accordance with 43
CFR 4150.2 and 4150.4. Any impounded
unauthorized livestock will be deemed to be in
trespass, and settlement of the trespass fees/
proportionate share of the impoundment costs
and their disposal of the unauthorized animals
will be in accordance with 43 CFR 4150.3 and
4150.4.
