A 66-year-old Idaho woman died after an Oct. 29 crash on Interstate 80 in Churchill County.
The Nevada State Police responded to the crash at 8:32 a.m., according to a news release.
The investigation indicates that a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling westbound on I-80 near mile marker 60. The Chevrolet departed the roadway onto the left inside dirt shoulder, turned to the right back onto the travel lane, then left again into the inside shoulder, where it overturned and came to a stop on its tires in the dirt median.
The driver, Donna Lee Boyer, a 66-year-old female from Emmett, Idaho, was transported to an area hospital where she died on Nov. 8.
Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Northern Command West M.I.R.T (Multidisciplinary Investigation & Reconstruction Team) is investigating this crash.
This marks the Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol – Northern Command West 41st fatal crash, resulting in 47 fatalities for 2023.
