During a special meeting Nov. 17 the Fallon City Council approved a change of location for two licenses. Changes for a liquor license and two cabaret licenses were also approved at a regular meeting Nov. 21.
Pam Yost was approved for a change of location for a liquor license and a cabaret license. Yost reopened Cranberry Cottage gift shop Nov. 16 inside the 119-year-old Churchill Bank Building on Maine Street.
Nassar White was approved for a change of ownership on the liquor and cabaret licenses for Greenwave Sports Bar at 2155 W. Williams Ave. The cabaret license was approved with conditions regarding the tables he had listed on his application as “gaming/tabletop, not gambling.”
After some discussion, White was informed that his intentions to have board games available for play does not require any kind of license. White said that he listed the activity because he wanted to be clear about the types of events he intended to have in the bar.
Prior to approval the council also confirmed that the bar would have appropriate security during the listed midget wrestling event.
Charles Fulks of Big Horn Saloon at 1720 W. Williams Ave. was also approved for a cabaret license with conditions. Fulks’ application mentioned the intention to host a burlesque show as well as an annual rib cookoff. The council said that any event held, with the exception of karaoke and live music, must be approved by the city 14 days prior to the event.
