Student-led conferences, informational meetings, a career fair and dinner await Churchill County High School students and their parents on Oct. 17 from 6-8:30 p.m.
Attendance at the CCHS Fall Open House is mandatory and counts as a required assignment in the “Employability Skills” curriculum.
This event will provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate responsibility for their academic performance and to give a review of their work for their parent/guardian.
Families will visit each classroom on a student's normal schedule. Stamps in a school passport will be accumulated at each stop. The completed passport will be redeemable for a dinner presented by the CCHS culinary department.
Freshmen are in the auditorium from 6-6:30 p.m. discussing ways to be successful in high school, including credits needed, expectations for attendance and personal accountability.
Seniors should begin the evening in the school library from 6-6:30 p.m. to cover scholarships, graduation and ways to stay successful and on-track throughout their last year of high school.
For information, call Principal Tim Spencer at 775-423-2181, extension 4107.
