A dinner event hosted by the De Golyer’s Rough Stock Rodeo and Troy's Double Shot Bar is Friday at the Dry Gulch at the Churchill County Fairgrounds.
Gates open at 5 p.m. and the dinner is at 6 p.m. Tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for children. A free kids zone is included with the child’s ticket.
The event will feature a catered dinner by Wild Horse Cafe, which includes pork ribs, specialty beans, coleslaw, bread and desert. Troy’s Double Shot Bar will serve drinks.
Live entertainment will be provided by Leeteville Junction with dancing to follow the dinner.
On the next day, there will be a rodeo at the outdoor arena at the fairgrounds with gates opening at 2 p.m. followed by the rodeo at 5 p.m. Rodeo tickets can be purchased ahead of time at the Big R stores in Fernley or Fallon for $10 apiece or $15 at the gate.
The rodeo will include mutton busting, calf riding, junior steer riding, saddle cow riding, women’s bronc riding, barrel racing, bronc riding and bull riding. There will be cash payouts and bucks in each event.
Also at the rodeo will be a free kids zone, craft vendors, food trucks, trick or treat and kids costume contest, chariot racing and a live band after the rodeo events have concluded.
