Due to “decreasing sunlight, increasing fuel moisture levels and cooler evenings,” the Carson City Fire Department lifted fire restrictions on Wednesday.
In a news release, CCFD said the restrictions were previously imposed July 28 on privately owned lands within Carson City. Those restrictions curtailed not just fires, but smoking, welding, off-roading and types of ammunition, among other things.
“Please continue to practice fire safety measures throughout these fall and winter months,” CCFD urged residents Wednesday.
