Carson City’s Parks, Recreation & Open Space Department will be completing repair of damaged trail at Riverview Park from Monday to Thursday, resulting in some closures.
“The section of trail along the river was damaged by the high sustained flows of the Carson River we experienced this past winter and spring,” park officials said in a news release.
To complete the trail repair effort, the following closures will be observed: full closure of Riverview Park Tuesday to Wednesday and partial closure along damaged trail Monday and Thursday.
“These closures are being implemented for safety purposes, as there will be extensive trucking of materials occurring Sept. 19-20, as well as heavy construction equipment working in the area throughout the week,” the city said.
Signage has been posted to the site indicating the closures. Normal access to Riverview Park will resume Friday.
