The Carson High football team received professional treatment while in Las Vegas for its game against Basic Academy on Sept. 1.
The Senators had an opportunity to run drills and a full practice inside the Las Vegas Raiders’ indoor practice facility and received official Raider-branded memorabilia, including hats and cleats.
After attempts to get a tour of Allegiant Stadium, which fell through because of a Beyonce performance, the visit and practice at the Intermountain Health Performance Center – the Raiders’ practice facility in Henderson – was coordinated by the Raiders’ and Carson High defensive coordinator Justin Barlow.
“The excitement was palpable. The Las Vegas Raiders proved to be gracious hosts, extending a warm welcome to our high school team,” Barlow said. “It was a moment of camaraderie that bridged the gap between aspiring high school athletes and their professional counterparts.”
