Road report as of Thursday. The following applies to Sept. 25-Oct. 1:
Road closures are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
Silver Sage between Koontz Drive and Clearview Lane will be closed, local access only, Monday-Wednesday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The intersections of those streets will remain open. On Friday, southbound traffic will be detoured, but northbound traffic will be allowed.
Lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
The city’s annual long-line and short-line striping projects are continuing. These projects will affect roads city-wide. Overnight lane closures should be expected. Please use caution, follow traffic control requirements, do not pass trucks, and don’t drive in wet paint.
Colorado Street between Carson Street and Saliman Road will periodically have reduced and narrowed lanes and lane shifts, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Work on this project is anticipated to be completed by the end of October.
Eagle Station Lane, and the intersection of Silver Sage Drive will be closed, Monday-Wednesday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for sewer reconstruction.
Minnesota Street between Musser Street and 3rd Street will have narrowed lanes, Tuesday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for sewer lateral replacement.
Medical Parkway between Carson Street and Medical Parkway Loop will have daytime and overnight reduced lanes with flaggers, Monday-Friday, for striping. Work may be intermittent and is weather dependent.
Silver Oak Drive between Medical Parkway and Carson Street will have daytime and overnight narrowed lanes with flaggers, Monday-Friday, for striping.
Trucks will be entering and existing multiple roads in south Carson City at Koontz Drive, Clearview Lane, and Livermore Lane all week for construction of the new multi-use path.
