In response to Ms. Moffett's commentary of Sept 16, Oh, yes! I can just about manage the computer but I absolutely refuse to get a smart phone; so, as she says, people look at you like you're out of sync or maybe stupid. I don't want all those apps and messages and so on. A phone is for making calls. Period. But there are things one cannot do and news stories that cannot be followed without a smart phone. Which is very annoying, elitist and ageist. We won't even get into how our teens would be safer and happier with a flip-phone than a smart phone that delivers bad messages.
