Mile High Jazz to present ‘April in Carson’ at Gina’s Tuesday

Join the Mile High Jazz Band for "April in Carson," an evening of big-band music with singer Jakki Ford from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Gina's Good Life Music & Lounge, inside the Carson Nugget.

The music is free, donations are welcome. "April in Carson" features the 17-member band playing old favorite and new swinging, big-band selections, including "April in Paris," "Semi-Mental Journey," and "Spring Fling." Ford will sing "Caught a Touch of Your Love," "It's Alright With Me," "Give Me the Simple Life," and other tunes accompanied by the band.

Mile High Jazz Band performances and educational activities are supported in part by a grant from the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, and by memberships and donations.
