Carson City residents wanting to review a restaurant’s recent health inspections now have an online portal they can access.
The portal is available at https://www.gethealthycarsoncity.org/divisions/environmental-health.
“This innovative online tool is designed to provide the public with easy access to the results of health and safety restaurant inspections conducted throughout Carson City and Douglas County,” Carson City Health and Human Services said in a news release.
The inspection portal includes searchable inspection reports.
“The public can easily search for a food establishment to view the most recent inspection reports. Inspection results from the past 18 months are accessible on the portal,” CCHHS said.
Detailed letter grades indicate an inspection’s results.
“Inspection results are displayed in a gallery format, with grades listed alphabetically. It is important to note that lower grades (e.g., B grades) may appear first. If a facility made corrections and was re-inspected, receiving a higher grade (e.g., an A), this updated grade may appear further down the page,” said CCHHS. “We encourage users to search for specific establishments to verify if there are more recent and improved inspection results. Be sure to also verify location address as there are restaurants with the same name in each county.”
The inspection portal is part of “our ongoing commitment to transparency, public health, and community engagement,” according to CCHHS.
“By visiting the portal, community members can stay informed about the health and safety standards of local food establishments, helping to ensure a safer dining experience,” the release said.
