NevadaLand Productions LLC, who co-ops with the Historic Fourth Ward School Museum in Virginia City in teaching an annual youth filmmaking class, has partnered with the University of Nevada, Reno along with the museum to offer an intensive summer internship to the undergraduate students from the Reynolds School of Journalism filmmaking program.

The interns not only gain hands-on, real experience on set, they are also team teaching the youth filmmaking class as well as assisting with the First Comstock Film Festival to be held at the Fourth Ward School Museum Sept. 20-22.

Short film submissions are being accepted through Aug. 31. A unique component of this festival is the various master classes that will be taught by industry experts such as an acting class with Baywatch director Tracy Britton and a screenwriting class with award-winning director Liza Asner.

There will also be a microfilm competition held during the festival for youth filmmakers with a prize going to the winner.
