Churchill County School District back-to-school information

Churchill County School District first through 12th grades begin Monday. Pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students begin Aug. 19. Magnets highlighting days off in the year’s modified 4-day week calendar will be available at the back-to-school night events.

Information is available now on churchillcsd.com, Infinite Campus and Facebook. The district uses Infinite Campus as its primary communication tool. For assistance accessing Infinite Campus, or to receive an access code, email parentinfo@churchillcsd.com.

School start and end times have changed to increase elementary students’ instructional time, minimize the time students spend on the buses and to reduce the time buses and parents share the roads in the school pickup areas. Plans are in place to supervise students who are waiting while their parents pick up at multiple schools.

Parents/guardians of students who applied for the Northside Early Learning Center Pre-Kindergarten program should receive a notification letter in the mail by the end of July.

Freshmen Orientation Aug. 9 Parents and students may attend at noon or 5 p.m.

Open House events are informal opportunities to tour the school and put students at ease before the first day of school. They differ from Back-to-School Nights, which happen after school has started and allow parents and students to bring up more specific questions and concerns with the teacher.
