The expansion of the Carson City Community Center, including the theater now known as the Bob Boldrick Theater, was completed in the fall of 1974. In celebration of the 50th anniversary, there will be a block party event at the center on Sept. 21 beginning at 11 a.m., Carson City officials said in a news release.
“There will be free activities and games for the whole family throughout the community center (inside and outside),” according to the release. “A showcase performance on the celebrated stage will begin at 2 p.m. All activities and performances are free. Art, food and other goodies are available for purchase.”
The community center is located at 851 E. William St.
