Fallon Theatre: Expanded 'Blade Runner' highlights the weekend

We’d like to send out a huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the theatre last weekend for the 10th annual Community Reunion.

The free Friday night concert, the Saturday morning theatre tours and the afternoon karaoke were all such a great success. We enjoyed seeing our friends and family making use of the space we’ve worked so hard to curate.

This weekend we have two great films for you to consider. First, at 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, we have “The Bad Guys.” This 2022 animated adventure follows a gang of notorious animal criminals pretending to change their ways to avoid prison. It is rated PG.

At 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday we’re showing the Final Cut version of the iconic 1982 Ridley Scott dystopian cyberpunk thriller, “Blade Runner,” starring Harrison Ford. This version, released in 2007, has remastered audio and visual and a few additional scenes. It is rated R.

Coming up quickly on Aug. 24 is our annual summer 5K fundraiser — The Cantaloupe Canter. Early registration is $25 per person, while same-day registration will begin at 7 a.m. with a fee of $30. The race begins at 8 a.m. at the Indoor Pool, 333 Sheckler Road. We hope to see you there.
