Tiger fall sports set to begin this week

TIGER VOLLEYBALL SET TO BEGIN PLAY

Douglas High School volleyball has a handful of matches this week to open its regular season, starting with a road contest Tuesday at McQueen.

Wednesday night the Tigers will be on their home floor, hosting Reed.

Saturday, Douglas has several matches scheduled in a tournament.


TIGER SOCCER GETS UNDERWAY THIS WEEK

Douglas High School boys and girls soccer have yet to play their first regular season games this fall, but they’ll get that chance soon.

The Tiger boys opened up Monday afternoon against Sparks before taking on North Valleys at home Aug. 26.

Meanwhile the Tiger girls get another week of practice before opening their season Aug. 27 at home against McQueen.


CROSS COUNTRY SEASON BEGINS FRIDAY

Douglas High School cross country will host its annual Douglas Class Races Friday at Lampe Park.

The event will once again serve as the first race of the season for many schools in Northern Nevada.
