Carson City looking to fill five positions on Board of Appeals

The Carson City Board of Supervisors is seeking applications from individuals interested in serving on the Board of Appeals. Five positions are open, each for a two-year term.

The positions are for general contractor, registered architect, civil/structural engineer, electrical engineer and mechanical engineer.

“Applicants should be aware this board may require a minimum commitment of up to five hours a month,” the city said in a news release. “This board provides advice on matters involving the building codes and the fire codes in Carson City. All members will serve without compensation.”

Applications will be accepted until Sept. 16. Interviews for the positions are tentatively planned for the Board of Supervisors meeting Oct. 3.
