Silver State Art Festival Sept. 6-8 at Fuji Park in Carson City

The Nevada Gourd Society will host its sixth annual Silver State Art Festival, Friday-Sunday, Sept. 6-8 at the Fuji Park Exhibit Hall in Carson City.

Hours are 5-8 p.m. Sept. 6; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 7; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 8. The festival will feature “Art in Valley,” with 40-plus award-winning artists sharing their art including gourds, photography, paintings, pottery, watercolor, jewelry, note cards, wood-turned products and more. Admission is free.

Art classes will be held outside in the park. The event will also feature a raffle and silent auction to benefit the Nevada Humane Society. Guests who stop by on Sept. 6 can enjoy a free glass of wine. Lady Griller food truck will be in attendance on Sept. 7.

The Nevada Humane Society will be on-site Sept. 8 for pet adoptions.
