The Senator boys basketball team put together a 2-2 record in four games over the weekend in eastern Nevada and Utah.
Carson fell to APWV (Utah), 67-61, in overtime to kick off the weekend.
The Senators trailed by six going into the fourth quarter, rallying back to force the extra period.
Carson won its next two games against Wendover (63-47) and Moapa Valley (57-54) before falling to West Wendover (68-57) to close out the tournament.
UP NEXT: Carson (3-2) was at home Tuesday against McQueen to open up Class 5A North league play.
SENATOR GIRLS GO 2-1 OVER WEEKEND
Carson High School girls basketball took on a slate of non-Class 5A schools over the weekend, going 2-1 in its three games.
The Senators opened with a 42-37 win over Elko before falling to Fallon, 56-32.
In their final game of the weekend, the Senators bested Yerington, 66-27, thanks to a 24-8 run in the third quarter.
UP NEXT: Carson (3-1) was at home Tuesday in its first league game of the season against McQueen (2-4).
FALCON BOYS SPLIT OPENING GAMES
The Sierra Lutheran boys basketball team went 1-1 in its first two games of the season, first losing to Foresthill (Calif.), 60-50.
The Falcons turned around and bested San Juan (Calif.), 46-40.
UP NEXT: Sierra Lutheran (1-1) traveled to take on Yerington (2-3) on Tuesday.
DAYTON BOYS START 4-0
The Dayton High School boys basketball team is off to a 4-0 start to the season after playing its first game last Thursday.
The Dust Devils took down Smith Valley, 49-39, in the season opener and followed that up with a win over Pershing County, 60-41.
This past weekend, Dayton beat Pyramid Lake (54-35) and South Tahoe (51-35).
The Dayton girls team fell to Hug, 53-34, Friday before losing to Pahrump Valley, 52-24, on Saturday.
UP NEXT: The Dayton boys (4-0) return to action Thursday evening at Carson (3-2). Meanwhile, the Dust Devil girls team (0-3) will travel to Sparks (3-0) on Friday.
