The Nevada State Railroad Museum has appointed a new director.
Daphne DeLeon has been promoted to director as of October from the Division of Museums and History, where she held the position of administrative services officer II. DeLeon has a 17-year career with the state of Nevada in positions with the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation, Department of Education, and State Library, Archives & Public Records. Her work has focused on grants, programs and administrative leadership.
DeLeon has a master’s degree in history and archival management from University of California, Riverside and is a certified public manager.
