U.S. Rep. Mark Amodei, R-Nevada, has been granted a waiver by U.S. House of Representatives’ leadership to serve on the Committee on Natural Resources along with the Committee on Appropriations, according to a news release.
"Given Nevada's wealth of natural resources and the fact that 85% of the state is federally owned, it's imperative for Nevada to have strong representation on the Natural Resources Committee,” Amodei said in the news release.
The House Committee on Natural Resources considers legislation about American energy production, mineral lands and mining, fisheries and wildlife, public lands, oceans, Native Americans, irrigation and reclamation.
