Tommy Castro & The Painkillers are celebrating 30 years on the road and stroll back into Carson City on Saturday, Dec. 28, for an evening at the Nashville Social Club. The show takes place in the Swan Music Hall with showtime at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 to $50 and can be found on the Nashville Social Club website.
Tommy Castro & The Painkillers — bassist Randy McDonald, drummer Bowen Brown and keyboardist Michael Emerson — have been together as a band for more than a decade. Castro’s most recent release is the trailblazing, award-winning “Tommy Castro Presents A Bluesman Came To Town.” Look for a new Tommy Castro & The Painkillers album in early 2025.
Castro won the 2023 Blues Music Award for B.B. King Entertainer Of The Year Award for the second straight year. This is Castro’s 10th Blues Music Award, and the fourth time he’s been named Entertainer Of The Year.
