Dear reader, we have made it to a New Year. I don’t take any time I have left on this planet for granted. Today the sky is blue, the air is clear and I am with my loved ones. New Year’s Day is the traditional time for making resolutions and thanking people who have made a difference in our lives.
At CAPS we have many folks who have made our mission possible and their support not only keeps CAPS vital but also reaffirms our community’s commitment to a no-kill shelter.
With that in mind, the board of directors, staff, volunteers, and most of all, the dogs and cats in our care would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the following businesses and individuals for their generous donations to our shelter in 2024: Altamont; Banner Health; Churchill County Hospital; Big R; Bissell Foundation; Blueberry Pet; Chandler & Coleman Salon; Churchill County; CCHS ROTC; City of Fallon; Color Street; Epworth Methodist Church; Fallon Theater; Fallon Old Post Office; Fallon Veterinary Clinic; Fitness for 10; Golf Course; High Desert Artists; Hiskett and Sons; Holy Trinity Episcopal Church; Hot Wings Club; Ink & Ivy; Janess; Joannie’s Designs; Keener Village; Lahontan Valley Elementary; Lahontan Valley News; Lahontan Valley Veterinary Clinic; Leona Quilici and the Hearts of Gold Quilters; Les Schwab Tires; Los Gallos; Maggie’s Play House; Mama J’s Bows; McHoppers Brew Company; NAS Fallon; Oasis Community Church; Ott’s Farm Equipment; O’Reilly Auto Parts; Pizza Factory; Rema White; Stargazer Blossoms &Custom Gifts; Speedway; Tedford Tires & Auto Service; Trinkets and Whiskers; and Western Nevada Title Co.
We also thank the numerous individuals who gave their time, money, and talent to help us with the garage sale, Bark in the Park, spaghetti dinner, Dog fashion show, photos with Santa, and Bingo and Brews at McHoppers. Your donations and dedication are invaluable and appreciated.
The number of businesses and individuals in Fallon who have stepped up to the plate and supported our no-kill-shelter is amazing. I love Fallon, the small town with a big heart. Happy New Year!
