Veritas Preparatory School students have spent the last few weeks leading up to Christmas break remembering Jesus and the reason we celebrate Christmas.
The third through eighth grade classes visited the Out of Egypt food pantry where they distributed mugs and mittens to patrons. The kindergarten through second grade classes traveled to the Homestead Assisted Living facility to sing Christmas carols to the residents. All of the students were blessed to share the joy of Jesus with members of our community at this special time of year.
The school also celebrated the success of our recent See's Candy fundraiser with top seller Dixie Jensen acting as “Headmaster for the Day.” Jensen spent the day writing thank you notes to her many loyal volunteers, visiting classrooms to promote physical education with impromptu dance parties and attending an important lunch meeting with her classroom friend, Charley Frey.
