After portions of Northern Nevada received a dusting of snow early Friday morning, new snow accumulation is expected this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
About an inch of snow is possible after 1 p.m. Saturday with gusts of wind as high as 50 mph in Carson City. The area could see a 90% chance of precipitation, and temperatures will reach a high of 41 degrees with lows near the Governor’s Mansion dipping down to the low teens by Sunday.
Sunday will be sunny with a high near 32 with a north wind of 5 to 10 mph. Skies will clear by the evening and the low will be around 11 degrees and calm.
Monday will be mostly sunny with a high near 39, with Monday night looking partly cloudy with a low around 22.
The rest of next week will bring a chance of rain and snow after Tuesday.
