Carson-Tahoe announces first baby for 2024

Parents Tyler Garcia and Annah Howard welcomed their son Atreyu Christopher Garcia-Howard at 12:06 a.m. Jan. 1 at Carson-Tahoe Regional Medical Center as the hospital’s first baby of 2024.

Carson-Tahoe Regional Medical Center welcomed its first baby of 2024, Atreyu Christopher Garcia-Howard, at 12:06 a.m. Jan. 1 to parents Annah Howard and Tyler Garcia of Dayton. Atreyu was born at 8 pounds, 13 ounces and 20.5 inches long. Howard, 25, works as an administrative assistant in the state of Nevada’s Office of Vital Statistics, and Garcia works as a mason for Mountain Masonry.

Baby Atreyu has a big sister, Raven Howard, 2, who is “very excited to be a big sister,” according to her parents.
