A Silver Stage High School student was arrested on Wednesday after making threats against the school in Silver Springs.
The 16-year-old allegedly created a social media account and created posts about planning a shooting at the school, according to a news release from the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
The juvenile was arrested on suspicion of making terroristic threats, a felony.
“The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is extremely appreciative for the assistance from the Nevada Threat Analysis Center, as well as the cooperation received from the multiple social media and technology companies involved in this case,” the release said.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said there is no active threat against the school.
