The Carson City Sheriff’s Office SWAT was called to apprehend a stabbing suspect Thursday night, according to a news release from CCSO.

Shawn William Brogan, 44, surrendered without incident at a residence in the 2700 block of East Nye Lane, according to the release.

On Wednesday, at 9 p.m., deputies responded to the 3400 block of Airport Road where a person had been stabbed. The caller reported the suspect had fled the area after stabbing the victim and pointing a firearm at him, the release said.

Deputies found the victim with serious but non-life-threatening lacerations and injuries. The victim was transported to the hospital.

Detectives identified Brogan as the suspect as the investigation continued into Thursday.

Due to the violent nature of the crime, the potential for Brogan being armed with a firearm, and threats made to the victim after the incident, SWAT apprehended Brogan, the release said.

Multiple firearms and drug paraphernalia were located and recovered from the residence. David Woodward and David Todarello were arrested with Brogan.
