The Carson High School wrestling team continues to put together strong results on the road as the Senators finished in third place over the weekend in Fernley.

Jesse Oliva won the 106-pound boys bracket, going 4-0 with three wins by fall.

Lucas Wold was also able to conquer his 132-pound weight class, winning his first match by pin before taking his next two by technical fall.

His semifinal win came by an 11-1 major decision before taking the gold with a 7-2 decision in the first-place match.

At heavyweight, Dominic Porter won his first four matches by pin inside of the opening round, but fell the in the championship match by pin in 5:28 to Cormac Anderson of Spanish Springs.

JT Heaton won his first three matches on his way to a third-place finish, ultimately ending his tournament with a 5-1 record, including five pins.

Keona Basa was fourth at 120 pounds with a 5-2 record and three pins while Jett Rupert and Matthew Manley were fifth and sixth, respectively, in their weight classes.

UP NEXT: It’ll be a busy week for Carson wrestling with a pair of home meets on back-to-back days. Tuesday, Carson has its home dual against McQueen and Damonte Ranch, which is a make-up date from earlier in the season.

Wednesday will be Senior Night as the Senators host their rivals from the South in Douglas as well as Bishop Manogue.

The dual between Carson and Douglas will also be for the King Dual title.
