Fallon baseball sweeps all-star tournaments

All of Fallon’s all-star baseball teams took home the championship last month and will represent Nevada in this month’s regional tournaments being played across the Pacific Southwest region.

Fallon fielded 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U and 12U teams in the Cal Ripken state tournament, which was played at Gepford Park in Sun Valley. Fallon’s 14-under team was the only local Babe Ruth team and it defeated South Tahoe last weekend in a three-game series, including 7-6 in the 10th inning of Sunday’s series-deciding game.

The 11U regional tournament will be hosted again by Fallon this month at Oats Park while the 8U and 9U tournaments will be in Northern California. The 8Us will be in Rohnert Park and the 9Us will be in Galt. The 10U tournament is in Kingsburg (Central California) and the 12Us will play in Oahu, Hawaii.

All Cal Ripken tournaments are July 14-20.

The 14-under regional tournament is in Murray, Utah, from July 21-27.

The winner of the regional tournament, except the 8U, 9U and 11U, advance to the World Series next month.

8U

9U

The Fallon 9-under all-star team includes manager Daniel Chu and coaches Shaun King and Bryce Hornby, and players Denton Faught, Lyncoln Salazar, Hunter Winder, Axton Weik, Rowdy Claggett, Kyson Rechel, Brantley Wiberg, Deegan Edgmon, Wesley Griffin, Pierce Cooper, Kooper King, Coby Diehl, Karter Owens, Logan Chu and Tanner Hornby.

10U

The Fallon 10-under all-star team includes manager Jake Compau and coaches Cory Tolman and Christopher Hughes, and players Joveneti Ugalde, Chael Gallardo, Julian Rogne, Jayce Compau, Treyvon Bliss, Cohen Whitaker, Abel Hughes, Logan Tolman, Casen Edgmon, Hunter Hoard, Jaydin Laiacona and Kolton Fitz-Randolph.

11U

The Fallon 11-under all-star team includes manager Charley Shuey and coaches Blake Cooper, Robert Yost and Bryan Byrd, and players Kenton Horn, Eli Diaz, Nikko Martinez, Moses Plants, Paxton Cooper, Connor Magana, Carter Wallace, Alexander Carreon, Madelyn Byrd, Jack Rowe, Jax Yost and Cooper Shuey.

12U

The Fallon 12-under all-star team includes manager Justin Judd and coaches Josh McCallum and Andrew Craig, and players Michael Lister, Jackson Frey, Darius Fruzza, Carter Larson, Weston Starr, Bryce Timmons, Jackson Macy, Michael Doud, Brayden Bryant, Keagan Craig, LeLan White, Mason White, Briar Kuntz, Damon Edgmon and Luke McCallum.

14U
