Lane reductions will begin Monday, July 8 on Alternate U.S. 395 in Washoe City as the Nevada Department of Transportation repaves the roadway.

Through July 15, intermittent single lane closures will take place on Alternate U.S. 395 between Pagni Lane and the Interstate 580 interchange in the Bowers Mansion area. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times.

Speed limits will be reduced to 40 mph. Drivers are advised to leave extra travel time and expect moderate travel delays if driving through the area.

Those without a destination in the area are recommended to travel I-580 instead of Alternate U.S. 395.

Brief intersection closures will take place as paving occurs through intersections.

The road work schedule is subject to change.

The roadway will be resurfaced with a two-inch top layer of paving to enhance and preserve the roadway for a smoother and safer drive.
