Crazy D’s Hot Chicken is coming to Carson City. Wednesday, workers were installing signage at 1280 S. Carson Street, formerly Pink Elephant Kitchen. A Crazy D’s food trailer was parked on the premises.
Franchise part owner Juan Torres told the Appeal a soft opening was planned for Saturday and a grand opening for July 20.
“We are a family-run business, and we have a lot of pride in our heritage and the quality of our products,” reads the company’s website. “Our goal is to provide our customers with great service and delicious, fresh, home-cooked chicken. We enjoy delighting everyone with our delicious combos, boxes, and baskets of high-quality chicken tenders and sliders.”
A webpage on the company’s franchising states: “Originating in 2020, this family-driven business not only withstood the challenges of a pandemic but emerged stronger.”
Other locations include three in Reno and one in Woodland, Calif. Torres said the Carson City location would be the company’s first franchise location.
