The Carson City Treasurer’s Office has announced that real property tax bills for Carson City are now ready for the new tax year, which runs from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025.

Property owners should begin to receive their property tax bills in the mail within the next 20 days, and any property owner who does not receive a property tax bill by July 31 should contact the Carson City Treasurer’s Office at (775) 887-2092 to receive a duplicate tax bill, according to a news release.

“Nevada law sets the due dates when property owners must pay their property taxes, and if a property owner’s tax bill is more than $100, the property owner can make the tax payments in four installments between August 2024 and March 2025,” according to the city.

The four due dates set by Nevada law for this current tax year will be:

• Monday, Aug. 19 (the third Monday of August 2024)

• Monday, Oct. 7 (the first Monday of October 2024)

• Monday, Jan. 6 (the first Monday of January 2025)

• Monday, March 3 (the first Monday of March 2025)

Property owners can make payments for their property taxes online at https://carsoncitynv.devnetwedge.com.; through online bill-pay through bank (be sure to include entire parcel number and address); by telephone at (888) 837-9291 (follow voice prompts); in-person or by mail at the Carson City Treasurer’s Office at 201 N. Carson Street, Suite 5, Carson City, NV, 89701; or at the green payment box located on the east side of City Hall, 201 N. Carson Street.

“The Carson City Treasurer’s Office reminds all property owners to verify if they have a mortgage lender or mortgage impound account that makes the property tax payments on behalf of the property owner or if the property owner has the responsibility to make the timely payment for all property taxes owed,” reads the release. “In addition, the Carson City Treasurer’s Office advises property owners that if they previously had a mortgage lender that made their property tax payments for them, and the property owner has since paid off the mortgage, the property owner is now responsible for making the timely property tax payments.”
