‘Responsible giving’ educational event July 18 and 25

Carson City Health and Human Services is inviting all community members to a free “Responsible Giving” educational event hosted by Grant Denton, founder of the Karma Box Project.

Karma Box is contracted with the city to aid street outreach efforts for unhoused individuals.

“Gain insight into homelessness, its different forms, and how to help,” said a news release from the city. “Ensure your contributions create a positive impact through responsible giving.”

The event is 3 to 5 p.m. July 18 and July 25 in the Ormsby Room at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office, 911 E. Musser Street.
