In June, sales of single-family homes in Carson City slowed compared to the previous month and the same time period last year, but the median sales prices rose to $560,000, according to data released by Sierra Nevada Realtors.
Carson City had 51 sales of existing single-family homes, a 15 percent decrease from the previous month and a 22.7 percent decrease from the same time period last year.
The median sales price of $560,000, however, represents an increase of 2.9 percent from the previous month and an increase of 13.9 percent from the previous year.
The existing condominium/townhome median sales price in Carson City in June was $307,750, a decrease of 23.1 percent from last month but an increase of 8 percent from last year.
SNR reports on Washoe, Lyon, Storey, Douglas and Churchill counties along with Carson City. Across the six regions, SNR reported 10.3 percent more active single-family home inventory compared to last month.

Washoe County (excluding Incline Village)
In June, Washoe County, excluding the area of Incline Village, saw 562 new listings and 405 closed sales. The median sales price for an existing single-family residence in Washoe County was $600,000, an increase of 1.7 percent from the previous month and an increase of 4.3 percent from last year. The median sales price of an existing condominium/townhome in Washoe County was $335,000, down 10.7 percent from last month but no change from last year.
Lyon County (includes stick-built, manufactured and single-family residences)
In June, Lyon County had 103 sales of existing single-family homes and manufactured properties, a decrease of 17.6 percent from the previous month and a decrease of 20.2 percent from last year. The median sales price for existing manufactured and single-family residences was $389,000, a decrease of 2.7 percent from last month and a decrease of .3 percent from the previous year.
Churchill County
In June, Churchill County had 20 sales of existing single-family homes, a decrease of 23.1 percent from the previous month and a decrease of 4.8 percent from last year. The median sales price for an existing single-family residence was $421,250, an increase of 15 percent from the previous month and up 9.3 percent from last year.
Storey County
In June, Storey County had one sale of an existing single-family home, with no change from the previous month and last year. The median sales price for an existing single-family residence was $475,000, a decrease of 14.4 percent from the previous month.
Douglas County
In June, Douglas County had 47 sales of existing single-family homes, with no change from the previous month but a decrease of 29.9 percent from last year. The median sales price for an existing single-family residence was $720,000, a decrease of 1.4 percent from the previous month and a decrease of 2.7 percent from last year.
