The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is seeking a grand larceny of a motor vehicle suspect who may be in Reno, according to a news release.
In May 2024, Cecilia Garcia befriended and exploited an 86-year-old male Carson City victim, the release said.
An arrest warrant was issued for Garcia for grand larceny of the victim’s motor vehicle. The victim’s truck was recovered on Monday, July 15 near Keystone Avenue in Reno, the release said. The truck was severely damaged and inoperable. The victim said his truck was his only means of transportation, which he used to get firewood to heat his home.
CCSO detectives believe Garcia is in the Keystone or downtown Reno areas. Garcia is 45 years old, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She has tattoos on her neck.
Anyone with information on Garcia’s whereabouts is asked to contact Deputy Lauren Eissinger at 775-887-2020 extension 45747, e-mail leissinger@carson.org, call dispatch at 775-887-2007 or Secret Witness at 775-322-4900.
