Carson City Sheriff looking for missing men

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is trying to locate two missing men, according to a news release. The cases are not related, CCSO said.

Barry Stephenson was recently reported missing by friends and was last seen on July 8 in Sparks after taking a bus from Carson City. Stephenson is a 76-year-old white male with no reported medical issues. He is 6-foot, 1-inch tall and weighs 160 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. His ultimate destination is unknown after being brought to another bus station in Sparks. Foul play is not suspected.

David Cole was reported missing recently by his family and has not been seen since 2017. The family recently received mail from Cole postmarked in Humboldt County. Cole suffers from mental health issues and is transient. Cole is believed to be in the central Nevada area. He is as a 73-year-old white male, 6 feet tall, 185 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes. He is suspected of being in Nevada, Arizona or Texas. Foul play is not suspected.
