Changes to state minimum wage

The Nevada Office of the Labor Commissioner is announcing changes that will impact Nevada’s minimum wage beginning July 1.

Assembly Bill 456, passed in 2019, increased the minimum wage in increments of 75 cents annually over a five-year period. The final increase effective July 1 will bring Nevada’s minimum wage to $12 per hour.

Unless otherwise exempted by law, the $12 minimum wage applies to all employees in the State of Nevada.

An increase in the minimum wage will also increase the daily overtime rates, except for those employees exempted from overtime requirements under NRS 608.018.
