K-9 finds wanted fugitive after Mound House standoff

On June 4 at approximately 9:30 a.m., the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit attempted to apprehend a known felony warrant suspect known to them as Steven White in Mound House.

White fled from the Special Investigations Unit across Highway 50 and into a residence. A perimeter was established. White barricaded himself inside of the residence.

After an hours long standoff, officers entered the home. Inside the home K-9 deputy Kai was able to find White hiding in the residence.

Kai persuaded White  to surrender to Lyon County Sheriff’s Office SWAT personnel, according to a press release.

During the incident three suspects were arrest and booked into the Lyon County Jail:


Zielinski

 


• John Zielinski was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled (methamphetamine under 14g); possession of Narcotic paraphernalia; obstruct and delay.



Thacker

 


• Shonae Thacker was arrested on suspicion of obstruct and delay.

• White was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance; possession of narcotic paraphernalia; two counts of obstruct and delay; a felony parole and probation warrant; and criminal contempt.
