NOTICE OF PREHEARING CONFERENCE
On December 27, 2023, Sierra Pacific Power Company d/b/a NV Energy (“SPPC”) and Coeur Rochester, Inc. (“Coeur Rochester”) (together, the “Joint Petitioners”) filed with the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada (“Commission”) a joint petition, designated as Docket No. 23-12022, (“Joint Petition”), requesting a waiver of the eligibility requirement of SPPC’s Large Customer Market Price Energy (“LCMPE”) Tariff for Coeur Rochester.
The Joint Petitioners filed the Joint Petition pursuant to the Nevada Revised Statutes and the Nevada Administrative Code (“NAC”) Chapters 703 and 704, including, but not limited to, NAC 704.0097 and NAC 703.540.

The Joint Petitioners state that Coeur Rochester has expressed an interest in entering into a future Energy Supply Agreement (“ESA”) with SPPC. The Joint Petitioners seek approval of a waiver of eligibility requirement of the LCMPE Tariff requiring that Coeur Rochester not be considered a fully bundled retail customer of SPPC prior to taking future service under the LCMPE. The Joint Petitioners state that the future ESA would be for purposes of providing short-term and long-term electric service to Coeur Rochester’s facilities that are currently under construction in Pershing County, Nevada, which Coeur Rochester intends to reach commercial operation in the first half of 2024.
