Filing for non-judicial office runs through Friday, March 15.
According to the Nevada Secretary of State’s Office, as of 5 p.m. Friday, the following candidates had filed:
• Lori Bagwell filed for re-election for Mayor.
• Maurice White filed for re-election for Carson City Supervisor, Ward 2.
• Lisa Schuette filed for re-election for Carson City Supervisor, Ward 4.
• Mike Walker filed for re-election for Carson City School Board Trustee District 5.
• Ashliee Saucedo filed for Carson City School Board Trustee District 5.
• PK O’Neill, R-Carson City, filed for re-election for State Assembly District 40.
• Erich Oberymayr, D- Silver City, filed for State Assembly 39.
• Ken Gray, R-Dayton, filed for re-election in State Assembly 39.
• Carol L. Del Carlo filed for re-election in State University Regent, District 9.
• Matthew Buehler and Angela Orr (both of Reno) have filed for State Board of Education, District 2.
Fred Simon Jr, a Republican from Gardnerville, has filed for U.S. Representative in Congress, District 2
• Sen. Jacky Rosen filed for re-election for U.S. Senate. She has drawn a primary opponent in Troy Z. Walker. Six Republicans have also entered the race.
Seats up for election this year, include Carson City mayor; ward 2 and ward 4 on the board of supervisors; school board district 2, 5 and 7; state Assembly District 40; Board of Regents District 9; state Board of Education District 2; Congress District 2; and a statewide U.S. Senate seat.
Election day for the Primary is June 11 and for the General is Nov. 5. Visit www.nvsos.gov/votersearch/ by April 12 to opt out from receiving a mailed ballot.
