Tiger swim and dive takes on Miners, Lancers

The Douglas boys swim team bested Bishop Manogue last weekend, 97-53.

In the 200 individual medley, Matthew Yturbide won the event in 2:26.41 before winning the 100-yard backstroke in 1:06.41.

Bayle Rowlett won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:41.32 for the Tigers.

Yturbide, Rowlett, Scott Peck and Timothy Gleason took first in the 200-yard relay in 1:48.11.

The Tigers also matched up with McQueen, falling 110-105.

Terrance Santiago recorded the quickest time in the 50-yard freestyle, stopping the watch at 30.64.

Peck won the 100-yard freestyle in 1:02.57.

The foursome of Yturbide, Rowlett, Peck and Gleason took first in the 200-yard relay in 1:48.11.

Allen Baker and Austin Pitts were first and second in the one-meter dive with scores of 231.50 and 181.15, respectively.

On the girls side, Douglas fell to Bishop Manogue (155-123) and McQueen (136-135).

The relay team of Caitlin Taylor, Kiera Duffy, Cammie Jahreis and Gracie Goss took first place in the 200-yard relay in 1:51.06.

The same group took second in the 200-yard medley relay in 2:04.

Goss won the 100-yard backstroke in 1:04.45.

Cammie Jahreis was second in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:35.70 while Goss was also second in the 50-yard freestyle.

The Tiger girls meet with McQueen went back and forth throughout the competition.

Goss was first in the 50-yard freestyle in 26.62 and in the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.45).

Lizzy Peck was first in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:10.39.

Emily Phillips won both diving events for the Tigers.
