The Carson City Historical Society will host a discussion with Ben Merrell and Stan Cleaves, members of the Eagle Valley Muzzleloaders, at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 23 in the Carriage House behind the Foreman-Roberts Historic House Museum, 1207 N. Carson St.
The discussion will feature a talk on modern day mountain men rendezvous reenactments and mimic some of the mountain men experiences. Merrell has led several mountain men rendezvous in Carson City.
The Eagle Valley Muzzleloaders, a Carson City-based organization, conducts historic reenactments of the mountain man’s struggle for survival during the late 1800s.
