Kindness, perseverance, and quiet strength are the words that come to mind when thinking of Charlotte Albin. When one sees Charlotte in the halls and around campus at Carson High, they are most often met with a friendly greeting and a smile. Many of our students at CHS have faced trials and tribulations in their lives and Charlotte is also no stranger to life’s lemons. Charlotte’s lemonade is made through her compassionate disposition and determination to reach her goals in spite of any struggles she endures.

Charlotte has been a student in Carson City since she was a little girl. She left Carson for a short time in middle school when her family decided to make a move to another city in Nevada, but in her ninth grade year, Charlotte returned to Carson and will end up completing her high school career at CHS. It was during her freshman year that Charlotte first began her journey with American Sign Language. She enrolled in her first ASL class and continued on in her sophomore year. Charlotte has a passion for ASL and is fluent in the language. She plans to continue on her path towards supporting others, just as she does now as a Peer Advocate for other students here on campus. Charlotte plans to use her skills and experience to become an ASL History teacher in the future.

There is no doubt that the route to success Charlotte chooses for her life will manifest itself through her ability to connect with others, her caring spirit and her determination towards her goals. We are lucky to know her and to be a part of a chapter in her life story. Congratulations, Charlotte! The Senior Spotlight is on you, and it is well deserved!
