Letter: Nevada Senate race

I’ve been watching all of the TV ads for the candidates who are running for the U.S. Senate. Two carpet baggers: one from Texas and one from California, then there’s our Sen. Jacky Rosen seeking re-election.

Rosen’s ads focus on three issues: Reproductive rights, funding for veterans (I am one), and prescription drug prices. Those are all good issues.

But the issues I read about in the newspapers everyday are much more worrisome: Fentanyl flooding across the border killing 100,000 Americans a year; illegal aliens reintroducing diseases long ago eradicated in the U.S.; 28,000 Chinese men of military age unaccompanied by either children or wives; runaway inflation – the price of eggs and gasoline having doubled in the past three years just to name two.

Then there’s the government Rosen works in telling us what kinds of vehicles and appliances we should or should not purchase.

Rosen tells us she’s not owned by Washington, D.C., but that she works for us but in a recent vote to fund the flying of illegal aliens into the U.S. using taxpayer dollars, only she and the other Democrat senators voted yes. No Republicans voted for the bill.

This tells me she’s not truthful and that she’s just a Democrat hack. I for one certainly don’t want my tax dollars used to fly illegal aliens into the U.S., do you?
